What happened to the trans, did the clutch blow out on you? I've seen similar blow outs on older Mustangs where the clutch blows and will shoot through the trans case and sometimes into the car. That's why we always use a blast shield on ours.

POS engine block failed and split horizontally. This allowed everything to drop down which caused the clutch assembly to hit the bellhousing. The clutch didn't fail.
