Default Project Truck build thread

Finally after looking a few months I found me a decent starter for my truck build. After owning 4 of these prior and seeing the 2008 build that Hotrod Magazine did with a 1974 Chevy swb stepside with an LS6, I've had the bug. I have different things planned to do with it to make it my own. Its a 1975 Chevy swb fleetside or wideside depending on how you want to call it. It has a tired inline 6 in it right now with a 3 on the tree. I plan on building a nice solid small block for the time being then after I get the truck close to where I want it in looks I'll start building a LSX motor for it. If I can find one and figure out how to install it I want to put a T56 in it. The old owner started shaving the factory molding which I will finish. I'll probably getting ahold of nftuatn when I get the body ready for paint. It will be a slow project but will update with all progress, I already have a new grill for it out of a 73 which is recessed and they use to put the motor badge in it.

Thanks for looking and any suggestions will be noted for if I decide to add it.

This is my favorite truck body, besides the lightning. Looking forward to this.

Not really wanting to bag it, more looking to build it for a nice playtoy/muscle truck. No problem, haven't figured out what color I want it yet but have time to decide.

I'd prefer the short bed over the long bed but when build right they still look good.

This isn't my all time favorite bodystyles but still one of my favorite, my all time favorite is the 1960 Chevy Apache but finding one of those is a hard thing.
