Project Classic Datsun: 1966 Datsun Roadster (1600) Restoration Progress
Side note: I used the reccomended Gorilla Glue to finish up the dash. Holy shit! That stuff kicks ass. The joints were kinda flexible before, now they are completely solid. Thanks for the tip! Now I just have to wrap it in vinyl.. it's really not going to be fun, hopefully it turns out ok.

yeah those shouldn't be difficult at all to strip. just a good old sandblast or bead blast will take all the corrosion and old paint off. that's what i got done with my wheels before taking them there. custom chrome does awesome work!
Yea, hopefully they turn out nice!
Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been polishing so much Aluminum and Chrome trim lately my arm feels like it's going to fall off. haha Winshield and Chrome Trim are restored now.. I'll get some pictures tomorrow afternoon hopefully..

** PAINT PREVIEW!!! ** I really hate my pictures of it, because I can't take a picture to save my life. It looks so nice in person! I'm very excited...

Here is some of the unusable Winshield Frame pieces. I ended up taking both the parts car and good cars frames apart to make one decent one:

After being refinished, not perfect but it's a driver and rechroming is expensive!

Dr. Side Vent Window before being taken apart and refinished:

After:

Pass Side Vent Window was too pitted to save. This will have to be rechromed:

Also, refreshed the door latches that attach to the inside of the door (the hump sticks out and is visable):
Before:

After, just wire wheeled the old paint and grim off and sprayed semi flat:
