Re: Project: Big XJ
I see what you did there.
Actually the chassis was a 5spd, but the green XJ was an auto so I swapped everything over to the black shell. No longer rare
I do too but because I swapped out the driver side door and fender for ones that were not dented the pin stripping doesn't match
This one sounds good when started up. Not the normal Jeep tick (caused my lifter noise).
I'll drive this one around for awhile but it's for sale. It has a lot of nice parts on it and I've touched every bolt in the Jeep so everything was fixed correctly.
Still need to finish installing new bushings in suspension. Tighten everything down. Install exhaust. Weld new rear shock mounts. Weld rocker sliders in. Should be complete when finished with that list.

Re: Project: Big XJ
So I finished painting the moldings. I pulled them off and did it correctly, that and I didn't want to tape up the Jeep to paint them while on the Jeep. Fog lights are hooked up now. Welded in the rear shocks. They are raisedup for clearance. Put in new ubolts and shimmed the pinion angle. Exhaust is loosely installed so I need go finish that. Adjust bump stops in the front and it's done.

Re: Project: Big XJ
Gave it a bath. Hopefully have some wheeling pics here soon. It's at the shop now getting exhaust work done and getting inspected.
