Polishing the ITB horns
Ok so I had some time to work on the teg. I didn't feel like ordering the Carbon horns yet so I tried a few things with the current aluminum ones.
One idea from Gary was to powder coat them (still in the air).
The other I had was to polish them. Still debating and thinking of a color to powder coat them, but here is what the polished finish looks like.
Before
After
Side by Side
The process was
800 Grit
1000 Grit
1500 Grit
2000 Grit
3m rubbing compound
Mothers metal polish
Still need some work, but the final decision hasn't been made yet.

Re: Polishing the ITB horns
There are some companies online that can do that liquid dip stuff and make them look carbon fiber if you want....since having actual carbon fiber ones will not be any performance gain at all.

Re: Polishing the ITB horns
I am holding off on the carbon ones only because every ITB k20 I come across has them.
So my thoughts are the polished will bring an old school look
