Picked up a 2012 M3... (renamed)
So, I figured I would be a trendfag and buy a BMW so I could add more cars to my signature of sold cars. I bought it less than one year old with 13k miles for about 16k off the original MSRP of over 57k. Thank you original owner for taking one for the team.
Enjoy my shitty Droid pictures.
Thoughts after 1000 miles of driving:
-Handling is unreal.
-Stance, balance and driver position feels perfect.
-The radio stays on for a long time- like I'll go back to my garage 20 minutes later and it's still on. Weird. I have to lock it to shut it off (unless done manually).
-It isn't as slow as I thought it would be.
-My wife doesn't complain about it every day as she did with the GT.
-Insurance is high
-I averaged 34.8 MPG on a drive to Charleston, SC.
-I'm now grouped with BMW fanfags.
Goodnight. I'm going to watch the Clippers and Nuggets pretend to defend each other.

Re: Picked up a new ride...
I'm guessing the Joneses down the street just bought a new BMW as well?
JK. Nice purchase, although what you mentioned with the radio thing, I hate the weird electrical quirks BMW's have, esp. The newer ones, I've detailed a few late models and they were mind-boggling, how you have to go through an array of menus just to change the radio station, then it's a trendy looking radio looking thing on the screen. (BMW 528i in particular)

Re: Picked up a new ride...
My wife bitched about it nonstop. So I told her that if I sell, I am upgrading. It also didn't help my case when she saw it has only a 3-star safety rating from the rear when we have 2 kids. Oh well, the BMW has 5. It kind of... worked itself out. I miss the GT, though. It was very fun to drive. At least twice a day people stopped me to either take pictures of it, compliment it or ask to see inside. Weird... 5.0s are everywhere.
