Re: New wheels (e92 335i)
Vmr's I think are all forged. When/if I feel like spending $5k+ for wheels I'll let you know. Probably not for a good while, as I just don't see the sense in putting wheels meant solely for racing on a car that will never see the track. The custom offsets they offer are pretty nice though... Again we'll see what I can accomplish with spacers. The stance thing is so overplayed and in the end, not even practical. If they rub it's going back to stock.

Re: New wheels (e92 335i)
I love the car; especially the color, but those wheels look like shit on it.
Don't take that personally. I feel like it's REALLY hard to get ANY set of wheels to look good on that body style.
As far as I'm concerned, the only way you can go is some sort of concave design because of the low rear arches/"flat" sides of the car. It's almost like BMW designed a "reverse rake" into the styling of the car. The lip on the rear really kills it.

Very nice car, but the wheels are something i'd expect to see on a primered 92 240sx pos; and not a nice newer BMW.
Machined lip looks like shit; you can get such nice wheels on vrwheels, etc. There's no reason someone can't wait and save up another $7-1000 for decent wheels. You can get real 18" LM's for $1600-2000 all day on some jdm wheel sites. I say put stock wheels back on, sell those and spend a little more for something that fits the car. They honestly look horrible, and coilovers won't help the fact you put cheaper wheels on it than stock.
