NASA VIR event Feb. 20-21

One had an engine fire...tried to zoom in
OR Racing party Saturday night....staff eats first
Did Turn 1 today (Sunday)...was a lot more active with the head-set b/c there was a lot going on down there

Yes, I think they buy as many as possible that dont meet standards, but for the most part yes they are brand new. Its all over the track too, I didnt see one "used" tire the whole time I was there.'
Think of it this way though, they need uniform tires... a shit ton of them. It'd cost more to pick and chose from various used tire places than to just buy a crap ton from a (in most cases) sponsor.
