Here is my dyno sheet from PAS
Here is my best run after after the swap. I was in street trim on 18" wheels with street tires. I have slicks now and I hope to make it back to the track in the fall.

1/8 8.769
mph 82.50
1000 11.309

Re: My two Maximas
VQ hotness in a 98' Maxima? Sweet. A VQ swap was like my dream back when I still had my Spec V. But you had to get ahold of some sort of codes to make everything work so I just never bothered.

Re: My two Maximas
Yeah, if you are not familiar with maximas the 4th gen 95-99 had a vq30 stock. In order to do this swap with out swapping the wiring harness and ecu, you must swap the vq30 timing equipment onto the vq35 (this is the hard part of the swap). Then you need to remote mount your IACV. The vq35 will bolt up to your vq30 transmission and engine mounts.

Re: My two Maximas
I have not updated this thread in a few years, but I still have maximas.
The anniversary edition that I posted previously has been brought back to stock and will be sold soon.
My bright blue 98 has not changed much (changed wheels but that happens often), but I finally got some slicks and ran a 12.8x@107. Still have not reinstalled the supercharger.
Toward the end of last year I was able to find a clean 1st gen (the only rwd maxima), it was dirty but in over all good shape and very minimal rust.
I cleaned it up and fixed some little stuff. While I had it down I rebuilt the front end and installed eibach springs from a 280zx and kyb struts. Here is how it sits now
The car runs well, but pretty much everything I have is an ongoing project so of course I want more power. So I picked this up from the Hampton Roads area to use as a doner vehicle.
I will be using the engine (l28et) and rear end r200 from this car, the rest will be sold as parts before being scrapped if anyone needs anything. I have not figured out my power goal for the car yet, but the current plans are to start around 200-225 hp and go from there.
I have other wheels and tires for this maxima too, but I have not installed them yet. They are the enkei apacheII
