My New 2013 Mustang GT
Traded my 2010 gt in on a 2013 a few weeks ago. They gave me a ton for my trade and i got the car for like $3k under MSRP so it definitely was worth it and definitely a nice upgrade.
2013 Ford Mustang GT Premium 6MT w/Track Package and Recaros
Car handled great stock
But still decided to lower it - Eibach Pro Kit
Before
After
and gotta love the new "track apps" for the 2013 premium models.
just messing with photoshop after installing the jlt intake.
quick video of 4th gear pull comparing intake and canned tune before/after.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFXJ2H5AmxI and also had to do an exhaust. this was the first mod i did, the day after i picked up the car. video doesn't do it justice.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTmZa6x2lVo and last but not least here is a 0-60 test of the car using the "track apps" in the gauge cluster. not bad for on the street and without a real launch.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyBMeu5Cxhc But anyway I'm loving the car. It's definitely a huge upgrade from my 2010. Better performance. Better looks. More features. Yeah it costs a little more, but it's definitely worth it.

Love the color. Hate the GT500 grills on the 2013's. Still undecided on the new taillights....I like them when they are on but your post is the first one I have seen with them off and I am not sure I like them. What's next? Whipple?

Re: My New 2013 Mustang GT
I mean my 2010 wasn't bad. With a few bolt ons (no headers, cams, etc) I ran a 12.92 in the 1/4 on street tires. But this is definitely a huge upgrade. better performance. better handling. better looks. better seats. better platform. more features. etc.
Yeah the color looks great. Much better than black to keep clean and black showed every little scratch. The gt500 grill is growing on me. At first I didn't like it, but I like it a lot now. And the taillights I actually like a lot. At night they look cool and in the daytime they look blacked out. Once I do the GT500 rear wing and new rear valance I think it will come together nicely. Next definitely isn't a whipple lol. Can't afford it. Next probably going to be some appearance stuff. SVE Drift 19x9.5 wheels. GT500 rear spoiler. Boss rear valance. New front splitter (Boss or aftermarket whenever companies release aftermarket).
Thanks! Yeah I love the redesign and all the new features for 2013.

Yea it wasnt bad. But the 5.0 is just leaps and bounds better ford really did right with this motor and car. Theres a stock 5.0 somewhere with a tune and gutted interior on slicks running 10s or something

Re: My New 2013 Mustang GT
Yeah definitely. That's sick. I've read a lot of places about cars with just intake tune and tire running 11s. I plan on going to MIR next friday to see what I can do on stock tires. Probably mid to low 12s. I went to sumerduck last night (notoriously slow track) and ran a 8.22 @ 88.4mph which isn't bad. Still having Ken Bjonnes (www.twinturbo50.com) from Lund Racing update the tune a little bit though to see if we can get a little more performance out of it.

Re: My New 2013 Mustang GT
I've done my fare share of manual drag racing and with my firebird I would have to have a mid 7 sec 1/8 mile at around 91-92 mph to run an 11. That 8.22 would probably put you in the high 12's. What rear gear is in the car? I would say I am an "average" driver when it comes to drag racing a manual.

Re: My New 2013 Mustang GT
All my best runs in my firebird were sub 1.8 60's lifting one or both tires on a 5k clutch dump. I was trapping 118-119 mph. This was at richmond dragway.
