You've never seen a LT1 Trans Am with a low wing? I'm pretty sure the high wing was an option on the LT1 Trans Ams. I also think the convertible LS1 trans ams had low wings too.
The lower wing came on 93-94 trans am's. 95-02 trans am's had the higher wing.

What I am saying is it doesn't flow well. The wing isn't the problem, it was the rear bumper. I think the firebird rear would be better.
