getrag 250/260 or zf would be a better choice if you're going to go boosted. They also allow you to use a bigger clutch (228mm vs 240mm). Otherwise, it doesn't really matter.
I want to say I saw "260" stamped on the tranny when I pulled it last year. I am currently running an stg 4 M3 clutch and flywheel combo from VAC...and there where no clearance issues that I am aware of, so this leads me to believe that the Tranny was swapped.

Most people don't do what I did and use the g240 tranny, but I don't plan on turboing or doing anything too extreme. If it breaks, tranny's are cheap.

What hub are you using? And how much for the wood wheel?

The trannys are pretty cheap, but if I can avoid shattering one all over the race track, that would be great haha. I am not sure what hub the e30 has on it currently(PO installed it) but its pretty basic. I will be replacing it though bc I dont trust any of the parts that the PO installed. I will probably end up with an NRG quick release. Not sure what I am doing with the old wood wheel at the moment. Im currently out of the states and my best friend is watching after the M3 and my e30. I will be home in a few months though...I will keep it in mind that you are looking for a wheel.

Whats up Mike! (its G)

Swap is looking good and appears to be coming along nicely! Do you still plan on going turbo, or did you scrap that idea?

Glad to see a build thread up for this thing!

I fully expected to come in here and see some really faggoty shit

However I saw a very realistic/reasonable rebuild turned into something fun and pretty cool. I like you OP, you can touch my dick anytime.

If I can get a hold of more "current" pics of my build...then I will be glad to share. The pics currently posted here are about a year old and just scratch the surface of what has already been done

I take this as a compliment...haha Thanks man. Continue to follow my build as I still have a lot of things to add.
