Default E30 Build

Well, as a ton of you saw on facebook, I picked this car up for a good price. Drove it all the way home (2 hours) without a single problem whatsoever. Hell it drove better than my Subaru haha. I went through the paperwork in the glovebox (PO didn't know too much about it, but he is a VW technician, which is okay, I guess) and it has KYB gas shocks/struts. I'm going to have to jack it up to see what springs. It had all pumps replaced at 110k (It's sitting at 151k stopped). He said it probably had 155k on it now. It has new lower control arms. And also had a takata harness in the trunk. The PO is also sending me a bunch of stuff he had laying around too. Now to the bad, he spun it into a guardrail and this is what's going to be the most difficult to fix. The whole rear is pretty banged up, but it's not TOO bad. The tailights are shattered. The frame where the actual trunk clicks in is bent to where it won't close. I pieced that from a parts dealer (pelican parts) and they have it for 222 shipped. Tail lights are looking to be around 60 shipped for some used ones. And the rear quarters, I guess I'll have to take it to a shop. These are all of the pictures I have at the moment, and are from when I picked it up. I'm not sure what direction I'm going to go with the car yet. First, I need to get this fixed so I can get it on the road. Any help/suggestions on where to go with these repairs are appreciated

I also just ordered some new tail lights two days ago. So I'm going to see if I can get them to sit in there at all. It's going to take some bending though.

It's going to be a slow work in progress. I want to be able to get the trunk to shut and be able to mount the headlights. Eventually, after I've got my use out of a daily with it, I will weld in panels and get a new rear tail light panel.

Thanks man. Yeah, overall this car is a solid one, the only flaw is the rear. I'm slowly bending the mounts for my tail lights so I can rig them to work. After I get that, then she'll be out on the road.

Update (Sorry for the cell pictures, DSLR ones are next):

Took out all the trunk lining etc, and what is this? It kind of looks like rust.

What the interior looks like: I will be parting the interior out soon.

Some engine pictures:

Mailman just came in

New shoes for the WRX:

And finally some damage pics, I'm going to try and bend some of the metal once I get off of here.

car looks good but thats gonna be alot of work to get it all aligned and fixed in the rear. looks like alot of surface rust in the rear because its open to the elements(take some rubbing compound bet it all comes right off), and for gods sake get a camera before build threads.
