A couple pictures of Topix's new truck
As some of you may know I recently purchased a new truck. I started out shopping for E36 M3's but gave up after I looked @ the 10th one that wasn't up to my standards. Call me crazy, but I'm not going to pay E30 M3 money for an E36.
After 2 months of looking with no luck I finally found a great deal on a model that I've always wanted to own, an SVT Lightning. I flew out to Reno, Nevada to pick it up and have been enjoying it since. My truck is a '99 that just dinged 100k miles on the drive from Los Angeles to Washington DC. The last few cars I've owned have all been low, slow BMWs so this is definitely a big change for me. Overall the truck is in pretty good shape, it has some exterior blemishes but all in all it looks good for a 12 year old truck.
Here are a few pictures I snapped before I left California (I know they are crappy, I'm no photographer)
Now, onto the real reason for buying this particular truck
Modifications include:
built longblock (with all the normal bolt ons, MAFIA etc.)
chris starnes heads
jlp stage 2 cams
built trans, mhp 2600 stall
full exhaust system (kooks LTs, JDM catted midpipe, OBX catback)
Stieg Stage 4, non-slip changeable pulley, Ported midplate, ported Lower, ported plenum, 6 pound pulley)
BB long bars, BB panhard, Strange shocks in rear
I know I'm forgetting a few things but you get the gist of it.
My plans for the near future are to have it retuned here in Virginia and repaint all the grilles and trim that are starting to fade. Other than that I'll probably just drive it until I get bored and decide to throw a Whipple on it.
Now that I'm back in VA hopefully I'll be seeing some of you out at events. Thx for looking
edit: added new dyno sheet. Thanks to JJ @ WMS.

Re: A couple pictures of Topix's new truck
nice, has it always been in nevada/ california area?
the red on the supercharger, intake to myself seem like it should also be undone. along with properly mounting the diablo whatever is ziptied on the MAF sensor. but then again I have done things of similar lol.
krooks LT's, nice. let someone else take the massive hit of money for them. but then they used a obx catback. treperformance I believe has catbacks of quality and wont set you wallet back much. if you wanted something different.

The OBX cat back is actually first on my list of things to replace. It drones wayyy too much @ freeway speeds for my taste. I'll check out treperformance, thanks for the recommendation.
