Childhood car lust
 

I recently started seeing cars I used to always want as a kid, I guess since the weather has been getting bearable, and it made me want them again. I can remember seeing all these cars and being so impatient to turn 16 and try and get one of my own. I miss those days, so why not share some nostalgic cars!

I remember only seeing a white Isuzu Impulse RS at a stop light on 17 when I was looking across an intersection. I could never figure out what it was until recently when I saw one that was beat to the ground. I found out these are really rare, AWD, and turbo. It may look weird to some but I've loved it ever since I saw that one.

A teachers husband used to have a perfect white wide body 914 that he would bring some days to school during recess to talk to my teacher. I always thought it looked cartoony and cool, and I eventually came to own one lol. Mine looked just like this without the black vinyl. Wish i had kept it.

My dads neighbor had a beautiful lifted Mighty Max Macrocab that always used to remind me of the back to the future Hilux, so of course I wanted it. It looked just like this with the exception of the macrocab extension.

And of course old Starions and Counquests. My dads friend from work still has a black one and is still all original. It is a fun car to been in and look really good with the stock wide body if its a turbo.

I'm a pretty big 914 fan. I guess I'm too young but that's the first I've ever even heard of one of those Isuzus. It certainly is interesting looking though.

And I just have a liking to small, 4x4 things. I love the weirdness of a brat. I get to see a fully restored one on the weekends whenever Im on my way to Toano.

I've always been a sucker for the K5 Blazers. My old man had a late 80's model with a Jasper 350, and it would go everywhere. Since this is a dreamers thread, I'd go with the 69 version.

Seeing that makes me want an old rally car. I used to have a matchbox car of an evo 200 and it was one of my favorites. Hmm maybe ill try looking for a clean celica all-trac.

I'd love the original RT/10 myself. When those first came out, that was like the coolest thing ever in my mind. I've got this whole list of cars that are actually attainable (i.e. Viper, Elise, S2000, Cobra kit) that I'd like to own at some point in my life and that Viper is pretty high up on it. However, I have limited garage space and this problem where I get attached to cars and don't want to sell them. I'm not sure that I can afford more garage space any time soon so I guess either a storage unit is in my future or I'll have to nut up and start selling shit. I'm never selling that Z though. That thing will be gone when I crash it, and if I never do, it ain't going anywhere.
