Last week I had the lovely pleasure of driving down to good ole' Birmingham, Alabama to go to Barber Motorsports Park for the Mustang Club of America's 45th Anniversary Car show/track event/etc. Well, I had enough Mustang interaction for one weekend and got lost in this museum for 3hrs or so, which isn't enough time to take it all in by the way.

If you are a motorcycle enthusiasts then this needs to be on your TO DO list. It's absolutely amazing. And if you aren't a motorcyle enthusiasts you should still really go, it's just amazing to walk around. The building itself is beautiful the way everything is laid out as you will see.

One person...yes, one person, the owner of Barber Motorsports Park, George Barber owns everything you see below. It's his personal collection. I was in absolute awe walking around. Every single bike has some sort of crazy history or reason for being in his collection. It's really too much to soak in. Each bike has a plaque next to it and it would take probably 2 days worth of walking around to learn about each and every one. I think one of the guys said its over 850 motorcycles and it's the largest Lotus F1 collection in the world. The way everything is displayed is absolutely for the viewing audience. The only portion of the museum that is roped off is the bottom floor in the restoration shop. Everything else you can walk right up to, get as close as you want, etc. It's the best museum of this type I've ever been to. It made the 14hr trip down with two trailer blowouts on a 2 car 44' trailer worth it, and even the 12hr trip back with much better weather and better trailer tire luck.
