97 Prelude
You mean you don't have a line item in your budget titled "Because RaceCar"?
Yeah houses aren't cheap, try owning a rental. I'm a bit young for the 30-35 y/o range so maybe this is inexperience talking but while the main focus should be investing in what makes you money if you're smart enough with what money you have you can enjoy it too .e.g. project car.
I don't think the fun stops until you have kids, those little fuckers change shit.

Yeah breh, I too really, really care about dickpunch's critique of my wheels, and my car in general, and everyone else named Matt, and everyone else on this site, which runs my life. I also care about paying to show up for super secret invite only "meats" and about what all the storage unit shops and noodle armed "professional" photographers with Daddy's camera think of me and my car. Last but not least I could not live without the approval of Mike Hawk. Reppin my crew ya'eeerd?

As far as kids, we'll have to see, the wife popped our first out about 4 months ago. I can definitely say the fun stuff budget dropped significantly. Day care prices are freaking nuts.
You know there's something wrong with that system when it's cheaper to stay home and take care of the kids yourself than it is to pay someone (making peanuts for salary) to watch like 20 kids at the same time. Where is all that money going....?
It probably would be cheaper to send him to one of those people watching 20 kids at home, but after all the crap lately with people burning their houses down and shit with some of the kids still in them because they can't keep track, there's no way we're going to do one of those "home day care" things. The place we take him has pretty good ratios of kids to adults (I think for the babies it's like 4 or 5 kids per adult), but it's like $250 a week. You're right though, still seems like a bit of a racket.
