95 Civic Coupe, old school military style

I bought this car a few months back with intentions of making a daily, and was torn as to which way to go.

The Z6 in it chucked a rod out of the block by the previous owner, and I had a good, low mileage long block that we installed. The body was in a little rough shape, apparently when you fuck your girlfriends sister she tends to go a little apeshit and beat the hood with a hammer, then kick in the quarter panels.

Needless to say it needed a little bodywork, so between a few jobs coming in Chris (FunderBunder) spent a few days working the panels, pulling some dents, and blocking the body nice and flat.

This is the car as it started

The damn thing had a quarter inch of filler at the thinnest places, and the only reason was because someone was too damn lazy to fix it right. A few hours of pulling and straightening, and it took less than half a pint of filler to block smooth.

Laid out some tinted K36 to block down, and she was ready to paint.

At this point it was a tossup between a flat black (overly played out anymore) or something different. So, I decided to go with an OD Green, do a somewhat military theme on this one.

After it was cured, I laid out a little retro stripe down the side using some spray in bedliner to give it a texture, and accented the mirrors, handles, and rocker moldings with the same product.

The engine is being reinstalled now (nothing major just a head freshening and an MLS head gasket), and should be back on the road this week.

Things have changed for the intention of this build, and the car will be for sale. I will post a link to the for sale thread soon, but I wanted to toss this one out to show something a little different in the Honda world.

Sadly yes. This site is worse than CA valley girls in high school on some occasions.

NEEDS MOAR LOW! Buy it and do it.

NEEDS HERRAFRUSH! Buy it and do it.

NEEDS DOPESTATUS! Buy it and do it.
