Those bent rear bars would be a no-go for road race tech.

The problem is with a thirdgen there is 0 structure to tie into if you go all the way to the "trunk". Plus this car would be crap on a road course, lol.

 

So is this going to be a roll cage or a roll bar? Looks like a Wolf bar from what you have installed.

 

STOP. Do not weld in those bars.

http://www.mikebalfracecars.com/ Is who is doing the cage. Been doing it for 20 years. He explained to me why they where going were they are in the rear because thats where the shocks are. Because of the way the thirdgens are made it is the best place to put them. He knows what the cars potential and use so i trust his word. More pics today.

 

Nothing wrong with going to the shock towers, but why the bends? Straight not queer...

That cage looks fantastic, I am confused as why it is bent as opposed to a steeper angle and straight. Those welds are serious business!
