87 Iroc LS-Juan/ Turbo new build
Irocs foot looks terrible, there is blood all over the place at ramey built. dude walked in, poker faced, and said, i need to go to the hostpital
Well as much as I didnt want to....
Picked up a 4L80E Friday for dumb cheap might I add. Never thought I'd go auto but knowing that its a loosing battle to keep the 6-Speed in the car its the wiser choice. Getting it built this week in the meantime gotta figure out a stall and shifter to use.
Trying to compete in all the LSx races this year. Should be able to get in the 9's with time and shooting for 8's by LSX shootout time. There's a certain dark grey TA I want to challenge (if he hasn't sold it, lol).

When you get to thinking about that 4l80.... word of advice.. Traditional programming for the 80 requires a matching 4l80 trans segment (typically the donor calibration is an 03-04 Express van running the 156 OS) be swapped into your file (or just A file since yours is a swap). The crappy thing about that segment is that there is something in it that causes the converter to ALWAYS unlock at zero throttle. If you are at highway speed, the second you get back on the throttle just a bit, it re-locks. It's annoying. All of the swaps with 80s that I have done for the last year and a half or so are using a 4l60 segment still because it eliminates that behavior. You have to make some wiring changes in the trans harness, add a few relays to reverse-state a few wires, but I greatly prefer that to the segment swap approach.

odam! Sorry I didn't stay to chat longer. Ed is a great guy.
My front butt was swollen from the cold and I couldn't get to the truck fast enough... It was one of those times when you've been cold for a while and you have just had enough... The other big guy with the shaved head that was with me was Jimmy, the shop manager at PAS, the shorter dude with the shaved head is the user Fast Wino (or something like that) on here (408 with ETP 245s, F1 blower, 4l80 in an SS), and right now I forgot who the 4th one was...
I have 4l80 harnesses that would be considered "the new style", that have relays built in to use the 60 segment, but the harnesses convert an existing 4l60 setup, not an M6.
