The annoying thing about Z cars is that they're all rusty as hell. You go to replace something and you realized that something is rusted to something else.

As far as coilovers go you can get Tokico Adjustable shocks with Ground Control's coilover kit pretty cheap.

I used to have that combo on my LT1 280Z and it worked pretty well.

Yeah, I got lucky with rust.

The tokico's bottom out after you lower it more than an inch or so. And the GC's upper mount doesn't allow the spring to sit with the perch all the time, and will chafe the sleeves.

I used a grinder to take them off.

I've heard you can cut them off with a torch but I don't own one and I wasn't thrilled about heating up the shock body
