I still think GB Vette should have easily won the whole thing.

The Fortune car is all just mazaine/performance/catalog parts purchased and put on the car.... nothing truly custom. I could re-create the car pretty easily. Gary's car is truly custom.... very few people could re-create it.

Absolutely true, yet the demographics of this site wouldn't let that ever happen. And that is not a spiteful statement at all......just facts. I like all four final cars for what they are. Gary has just taken it to another level that no one this site has ever come close to yet.

Would you guys believe I actually don't like Corvettes? Even as a kid I've never really liked them. I have mad respect for them though since I know what they are capable of, but I honestly don't ever see myself driving one in my lifetime (don't hate me Brian, lol). I totally agree that GB should have won this hands down. And people talk about money, who cares how much money anyone had to mod with? One of the things that hits the hardest for me is that Gary looks like he obviously has enough money to pay people to mod/install stuff on his car, yet he does it himself, and at his age (sorry Gary, not trying to make you feel old).

I guess I just looked at things from a different perspective than the people that went in thinking "which car would I like to drive?".

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to say I hate Corvettes, just merely trying to explain that it's not one of my top cars I dream of owning one day, I've really never had a desire to own one.

on top of that its not even like Gary did all of this at once. The way he put it to me was that he basically sets aside 1 area of the car to mod each winter.

Exactly... and I'm not downplaying Terry's car at all. I'm a parts bin guy myself; mostly because I don't have the talent to do the type of stuff Gary did. His car really is a custom car that can't be easily duplicated, and it's fast as hell, and he mostly did it all himself. That puts that car in another league from anything else in this competition.

Again, take Gary's car out of this competition and Terry's car would be a worthy contender for the win, but in my lowly opinion (and I realize it's just an opinion) Gary's car is on another level all together.
