I think I'd rather have the GTR

No offense, but you see one BMW 3/5 series you've seen them all.

Beautiful car and I'll certainly never own one. But in my opinon the unique aesthetics and performance of the gtr would make that my choice. A souped up 5 series is nice and I'm sure its a great car...just not sure in what category it would gain an advantage over a GTR.

Around here at least I've seen no less than 6-7 GTRs and only 1 F10 M5. That being said, I find GTRs ugly as hell. I do, however, like these M5s.

Good choice OP.

Man, I love that color, but not on that car. I'm not happy that I don't like it either.

I agree with Blown, unfortunately I must spread my good graces before I can rep you sir.

i liked the GTR, it was a great car for when it was driven fast, i owned it for a year and a half or so. I just never drove it that way and i've never had a car that attracted so much attention from young adult males. Bottom line was it was a near 100k Nissan that wasn't very comfortable with a crappy interior and being that I never tracked it, it was just a shiny car that was way too fast and bumpy for northern virginia. Whenever i'd pick a car to drive i always drove my X5M for comfort or convenience sake. I was going to get another true sports car and had a deposit down on a new 991 GT3, with the recent fires and hold on production i decided to rethink what i wanted and for me a GT or sport sedan suited my needs much better. it came down to the RS7, E63S, Aston Vantage V8, or M5. honestly i liked them all for different reasons but given the opportunity for a very unique Individual build i went with the M5. i tend to only keep cars for a year or so, and even then this won't be my daily but i'm hoping i drive it a lot more than the 200 miles /month i put on the GTR. two totally different cars for different purposes but the M5 is very fast in its own right and also very comfortable. From a roll, stock for stock i'd bet the M5 is even with or faster than the GTR. the M5 also sounds much much better. As a side note the color really needs to be seen in person, although currently the stock chrome bits makes me want to puke, its a great color just isn't photogenic at all, really difficult to get the light just right for an accurate representation of the real color. The chrome bits will be changed out to gloss black from IND.

LSB is one of my favorite colors, not sure how I feel about it on the M5. Very cool that it may possibly be 1/1 so far.

I think you made a good choice.
