I wouldn't spend money replacing quad shocks, just leave them alone or take them off.

The KYBs aren't bad, but IMHO I'd pay the extra for Bilsteins.

Seems like the Bilsteins and the Tokico D-series(I think that's what they are...I'm on my phone) are pretty comparible. I think I'm gonna get the Tokicos unless there is a major reason why I shouldn't. Plus americanmuscle.com has them on sale for $589 this month. And I'll just leave the quads alone then.

I'm kind of excited to bust out my new impact wrench I got when I sold/traded the foxbody to get after those stubborn nuts and bolts.

Thanks man, I detail it myself at least every two weeks.

Found this on my porch Monday. Hopefully I can put these on next weekend if I have time. There is a squeek that sounds like it is coming from one of the rear springs. It's been doing it since I bought it and I thought this might be a good opportunity to silence it. Any idea what this would be? Maybe a bushing or something? My steering makes a popping noise when I turn it from one direction to another, like when parallel parking. Friend says it's normal. Is it? Maybe I'm just picky.

Oh boy race car parts...

Anyone wanna help me replace my 3rd gear synchro? Never dug into a transmission before...

Thank you sir.

I don't really know if I'm a Ford or Chevy guy, but I guess I'll be a Ford guy as long as I'm driving one. The Chevy in the picture is my buddy's 2500 Duramax, Allison transmission. Just helped him put a 5" straight pipe exhaust on it. Now he's got a God complex lol.

this, check your tie rods on for the popping sound. or the rack bushings that hold rack to the frame. i've replaced them before.

I appreciate the tip. My troubleshooting skills aren't that great yet and I'm trying as hard as I can to avoid going to a mechanic. I wanna learn stuff. I'll take a look at them when I'm under it.

Most of my pictures corrupted because my POS Droid reset itself when I was almost done installing the stuff. Got the Tokico D-Spec adjustable shocks/struts. New phone on Sunday though, thank God. All I have for pics is my car here covered in pollen...

[URL=http://imageshack.us/photos/my-images/21/puttingsuspensionon.jpg/]

I'm quite satisfied with the results. First test drive was so stiff I couldn't even keep the throttle steady. Toned down the firmness a little bit and now it's much better. Even though the ride is still a little more firm, it's not jarring going over potholes and stuff. There also seems to be less bumpsteer and the car just seems more predictable. Definitely worth the time/money.

3 point strut tower brace might be in the works? Seems like most people argue that rear shock braces are not worth the holes in my trunk liner. Any objections to that?

Still need to fix my damn 3rd gear synchro. Looking for volunteers to help, I'll bring a case.

Another project long overdue for some work here. Last time I worked on it, it just needed the new carb installed and fresh fluids and it should run like a champ. My friend and I don't know if the auto trans is gonna work or not yet. It has a 302 in it.

Once it moves under it's own power, we'll finish up the body work and throw some paint on it. Any suggestions for paint?
