I was actually upside down with the Fit. I had to pay a couple hundred dollars out of pocket. I guess you could say I was at the right place at the right time. I paid $6,000 for the car, motor had blown head gaskets, installed new short block, built and machined heads. And this is what came out.

I didn't think you would have had much from totalling the fit since you were probably still paying on it (just my guess). 6k because of blown HG is ridiculous, amazing deal for you but ridiculous none the less. so you put 6 in the car and 4 in the engine? 10k all together and it's a fully functioning STI. Dope.

Where the hell am I when deals like this go down? 6k for an STi with blown head gasket is insane, I'm trying to think of anything from that year that you can get for 6k and the list consists of like Hyundais, Kias, and nasty cars from that time when American car manufacturers made a lot of crap. Brilliant find man.

Dont get me wrong the car needed alot of work. I have probably at least 20 hours of detailing time involved in this car and its no where near done. I put brand new tires on it, brakes and rotors, new Cobb rear sway bar, its been reflashed. And my exhaust should be here by Wednesday. Im only trying to make 300, maybe a little more.

Even so, I'd gladly lose a full day for a cost cut like that. It looks great.
