Lightbulb reckless driving in chesapeake

I have to go to court on thursday for my second reckless ticket. its my first in chesapeake and my last one was in 99 I think for, making a u turn and going over the median. I had one in January but it got dropped to a 19 over which is speeding.
I was going 83 in a 55 this time because I was coming home from manassass from a wedding and I just dropped my daughter off in suffolk and on the way back got stopped right before the indian river exit. My driving record isnt so great and I never had to take a driving class for court or get locked up for a traffic ticket before... should I be concerned? I do have a lawyer but she says I may be looking at jail because of my driving record. btw it was before all the new laws

I don't face jailtime at all and I am with you VA does suck. Depending on the time of day and where you are if you go the speed limit on 64 you will be passed....and passed by all. I'm not saying it is ok to speed but anyone that even does 56 in a 55 need not speak because that is considered speeding. The only thing that sucks about 80MPH being wreckless driving is the fact that even if the speed limit is 70PMH and you are going 10 over which is 80...it is wreckless.

80 is 16 miles per hour more than 64...

also, in VA, anything over 80 is reckless.
