Hey guys I just started kicking the idea around of selling the LS engine and tranny thats in my track car and picking up a GSR. Its either that or buy cams and a Hondata S300 to pick up a few more ponies non VTEC baby.

My engine is all stock with great compression, and the transmission has an ITR diff and MFactory 4.9 FD.

I see LS swaps going for about $1000.00 on here or less if there are small problems with them. Mine is in great running order and the tranny mods were just done.

Any ideas?

$1000 sounds reasonable considering the condition/upgrades.

I would keep the tranny and buy a motor. Guy was selling a built gsr motor for 750, just yesterday I think, should still be available. You can probably get 300-400 for your motor.

I'd say you can probably get around $800 for it since it's in good condition and plus the upgrades.

Motor - up to 400

Dave was pretty spot on when he said around 1k. That's just my opinion though, I could be wrong.

Why sell a upgraded tranny, when you can potentially get dicked on one later. I know so many people that had problems buying used trannies, if yours is good. Keep it. Buy a new motor.

Wallys got a great point too. I'd consider keeping that tranny and looking for a new motor as well.
