What are some awesome moderate beginner sports bikes for a short kid.
Hey, whatsup VaDriven? I'm around 5'5, and was wondering what's a really good sports bike that's around less than relatively 3.5k. PLEASE, don't say anything less than 100cc... I would like a used one since I don't want to freak the fuck out if I drop it. I used to drive around a dirt bike, I was alright with it, i know how to shift, stop, and slow down.
THANKS GUYS!

The tried and true Kawasaki Ninja 250R. It was basically unchanged snice it was introduced in the 1980s. In the last few years the body work got a facelift to look more in line with the rest of the range.
You can buy one used, ride it for a while, and sell it for close to what you paid. They have crazy resale value. Mostly because they were unchanged for so long.
Now some squidy-GSXr is going to come in here and tell you that you're going to get bored of it in 6 months. These are the same kind of people who crash into Jaguars at 3x the posted speed limit

You'll get bored of the 250 in 6 months
The Kawi 250 is a great beginner bike. Fun as hell to beat on, and so much fun to ride. I don't recommend starting off on a super sport or super bike. The 250 will be much more forgiving, and a better learning platform in the long run. It has plenty of umph to get you where you need/want to go.

Gotta go with the Ninja 250 call. Or, even a Buell Blast 500(or492cc Thumper) for something different, but VERY user friendly for a beginner bike.
