What ever happened to the factory S/C Scion Tc?
I think they are pretty nice cars. The 161hp they have now is 'aight but it could use more umph.
I remmber reading whey were 1st introduced that a TRD S/C model was soon to follow. Well 3 yrs into production and no boost. have they ditched the idea or what?
click th elink and youll see the valve cover that says "Supercharged" from the scion site...
I think a boosted one would be pretty bad ass. Nice to have a factory boosted modern "tuner car" from toyota.
And dont say the supra, only rich peopel can afford them.

Welp found my answer...Edmunds says
TORRANCE, Calif. — Date posted: 10-18-2005 Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and Scion have announced that a TRD supercharger for the Scion tC sport coupe is now available through dealerships. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is $3,200, not including installation.
The centrifugal supercharger will bump the stock tC's 160-horsepower, 2.4-liter, inline-four engine to 200 horsepower and increase maximum torque up to 13 percent, the company said in a statement. The supercharger is compatible with 2005 and 2006 model-year tC coupes with five-speed manual transmissions.
Toyota says the supercharger, which produces 7 pounds of boost, was chosen for its compact configuration, ease of installation and smooth power delivery characteristics. It has a warranty of five years or 60,000 miles when installed by a Scion or Toyota Division dealer. If the supercharger is not installed by a dealer, it has a 12-month/12,000-mile parts-only warranty.
What this means to you: The supercharger that Toyota talked about at the tC's debut in 2003 is finally a reality.

Its $3200, the price was already stated earlier.
I've only seen one SC'd tC come through the shop so far, and the owner was an idiot and beat the hell out of it. He killed the motor because of that.
I don't think the power gain is worth it. You could probably buy a turbo kit for less and gain more.

a supercharger on a 4 banger is a waste unless you need the smooth power curve for somthing like autocross you'd be much happier with a turbo
