repostin this i need to know what ecu to run with a type r set-up in a 92 civic the motor is out of a 01 interga type r i was told p30 but can not find one looking to run hondata at a later date any help is great

Whatever you use you're going to have to get chipped for that engine, so you have a couple of options. A P30 is the closest that you can get hardware wise, and a P72 will work if the IAB (secondary butterfly control) is disabled when the ECU is chipped. You can also use a P28, which is internally the same as a P30 but doesn't have a knock sensor board.

If you're not going to get chipped and tuned for a while, a P30 is still the closest thing you cna get to an ITR ECU, and you could also look for a small case JDM P30 which has a slightly more aggressive stock tune than the USDM P30.

He can tune the car or he can provide you with a Type R tune from a stock JDM ITR motor.
Car made 180 and 125tq revving to 8400. (It's my car so I know the tune and what the motor is.)

(He also has a wideband so he can show how the tune is)
