Warranty voided by racing
As reported by Autoweek, good info for those who autocross or drag race.

wow, un-befuckinglieveable. for awhile dodge/chrysler/plymouth offered full factory support to competitive drivers of their product with the ACR campaign and even before that with the regular Neon. i guess it was cool and necessary. it's sad, though, that these manufacturers won't/can't stand by their own product these days.

Ford's 'Used Auto Plan' is good. "If it breaks in the first week of ownership, you only have to pay half of the cost of repairs!" Yea, fuck Ford's used car departments.

That's pretty sad IMO. What it tells me is the companies are making "performance" cars that can't really perform. If a car comes with a "handling pkg" and forced induction from the factor, nevermind sticky tires... and I drive it in such a way that I actually *use* those items... the car loses warranty coverage?? If that's the case they need to stamp the turbos, blowers, etc with "decoration only - not intended for actual use".
So, Dodge and Porsche will sell 400 - 500 hp cars with gargantuan brakes and amazing handling, but if you do anything other than drive to work, at the speed limit you are abusing/racing your car??
Just one more example of why we have too many lawyers.
