Im torn between these 5 choices.


v5-6 Sti, pref a wagon as im kinda hooked on those.

R33 skyline mostly because its a couple hundred pounds lighter than r34 in GT form.. Im also considering R32 GTR's but those are getting into the "too old" realm.

Lotus Caterham 7 replica, because the real ones are old as piss and more expensive. + a beater car for when I actually have to drive somewhere.

Open to other suggestions of cars that you cant get in the states. I have also considered some of the Holdens and Aussie Fords, but those are pretty big.

.....and what do you do for a living? What's your price range? I like the Catherham, buy the kit and build it yourself.

I promised my gf I would build her a 427 cobra, so id like something premade for now.

I am a lowely graphic artist and small business owner.

i think the range can be anywhere from 10-15k assuming that any of these cars will need complete overhauls in a couple months.

the Caterham kit starts around $15k without the motor and trans, completed cars tend to go for $25K and up

Just save up and build a Factory 5 cobra

Ive been cruising the for sale sections, I think i will be ok. I need something that drives, so building a car is out of the question for now.

where you located and how do you expect ot get an R33 for 15g stateside?

this is not stateside. I am leaving the country. Also to clarify, this is the GT25, not the GTR r33 even though There are some GTRs floating around for 30kish.

None of the non-USDM cars are importable for $15k.

You could BUILD a GC STI for that, you MIGHT be able to build an ST205 GT-FOUR for that.

The silvia or the Celica... celica shoul;d be all wheel drive and its dope and easy to make a lot of power. Actual 2001 Silvias are sexy as hell in person and the stateside counterparts never did them justice.

I would also look into a Sunny GTI-R also all wheel drive and tiny...launches like no other car I have seen. Where are you England? If in England look for a Lotus Cosworth 4 door... I forget what it was called but the thing is dope.

Or look for an actual E-30 M3 BMW.... funy and sexy.
