Urgent 2012 Honda Civic
 

My roommates cousin came over for a bit and set her keys next to my roommates, they both drive 2012 civics. She tried starting her car with his key and now the key is stuck between the 0 and 1 positions. Car won't start because it locks at the 1 position and cant take thw key out because the key is locked before 0 position. Any guidance would be appreciated.

If it's like a ton of earlier model Honda's...wiggle the shit out of the steering wheel while trying to get the key into the "0" position.

I was able to get it out. We were at the point where we were gonna call a tow truck and have it sent to the dealer for her so I figured all they would do would be replace the ignition coil. So i just turned it real hard not caring if I broke the key in the ignition and it ended up turning to zero, pulled the key out.

In case you ever happen to be in this situation, twist it til you break it.
