Dye in the system is not the only way to check for leaks. There are freon type detectors that sense leaks.
Take it to a dealer, if it is leaking somewhere it is probably a common thing that they see.

I work at tune up plus in newport news. IthinkI1 is right there is not that many good A\C people out there. If he pulled a vacuum on the high and the low side and it did not leak down there might not be a leak. there might me something else wrong. Cause if you filled it up and by the end of the day its all gone then there is a big enough leak that you will find it when you pull a vacuum on it. Look I will talk to my manager tomorrow and tell him the deal. We have a good A\c man at are shop. I Pretty sure that I can get my manager to look at it for free and tell you what is wrong with it. Sense you have already spent $125 at one of the other stores. I will let you know tomorrow what is up.

I hit there '95 and they straight up lied on being able to tune a '83 Z82 with Crossfire got the same complaint #. 10 on your side! Send Andy Fox over there. Tidewater auto Elect. Up the street does a good honest job on a/c.

as much as you dont want to hear this...

1) you shouldve shopped it out better
2) you shouldve bought a kit to do it yourself
3) shouldve got the dye test
4) theyre just doin their job

so learn from it, get on a mitsu board and ask if it is a common problem in those cars and a chiltens manual and fix the damn thing yourself, you woman

hey man I talk to my manager and he said to come to our store in Newport News and he will look at it. I told him that one of my friends when to the Va beach store and hey charged him 125 and the shit leaked out in a couple of hours. He told me to tell you to come to our store with your receipt. When you come in just ask for me (brandon). He said there might be another problem but he will have to test it. My TA said that he will help you out man. Just make the trip to this side of the water and my store will get it straight.
