Take the Audi "unintended acceleration" issue in the 80s... It's was 100% prooven that there was no defect in the cars and each case was operator error. Yet in summer 2008 when I was selling Jags, Porsches, and Audis I still had older people ask me about it as if it was a legitimate concern. So... the resolution is heard by nobody... the accusation is heard by all :D
