For Alex Shen, studio chief designer at Toyota's Calty Design Research in Newport Beach, California, the words describing the sports car's styling concept came first -- words like "sexy," "honest," "organic," "kick-ass." Followed by proportions -- front/mid-engine, rear drive, just the right scale. And a wild guess at price -- maybe $60,000? "It's a Toyota," says Shen. "It ought to be affordable." Only then did lines start to appear.

They sound just like the engineers and designers who created the GTR.
And it looks like a corvette. I like a lot about it and I dislike a lot about it.

was the hood a contributing factor in your decision? if so, i totally agree. the see-thru hood and the rear lines of the car to me are very c6/c7 vette-ish. on another note the front end reminds me more of a wannabe ferrari.

not totally against the car, but if it were more "down to earth" looking i suppose i would appreciate it more.

edit: if you have Gran Turismo 6, you can own one...lol.
