Default titling issue?

So i got a 2005 gsxr 1000 from a guy off here. I traded my 99 coupe and a gsr turbo setup for it. Well All the parts were not in so we didnt trade titles. Well i ended up trading the gsxr for another integra before i got hte title for the gsxr. Well long story short i met up with dude a hour away to find out the title had been signed in teh wrong place by the original owner of the bike. Now "no-one can get in touch with the orig owner." Has anyone ever heard of a affidavit of correction for VA? Cliff notes are as follows

traded civic for bike
didnt have all parts for civic so we held each others titles
met up with dude and the titel was signed inncorrectly
no one can get in touch with original owner
How do i get a clean title?

Go up to the Poquson , DMV they will help you ,

They will type up a written statement saying hey " I fucked up where the sign part is "
you sign it saying that they did this ... and your good to roll

its not the op who signed it wrong...it was the previous owner whos name the title is in...and now they can locate him...

and there is no other ideas...it has to be processed thru dmv or find the guy...thats your only options.

You didn't think it was unintelligent to trade a car you didn't legally own? Nor did the buyer think it was smart buying a car from somebody that didn't legally own it?
