Default Tire Question

Not sure if this should be in technical, if so, mods please move for me? Thanks!

Someone borrowed my car, hit a curb or something in front right tire. There is a gouge in the tire, low profile 20" rim....Khumo Escta 275 45 55 I believe are measurements. And the rim is SLIGHTLY nicked. The gouge is significant...but no air is leaking....it's sat like that for a couple weeks now, and been driven a few times, no problems.

Can I find something to repair this tire which is brand new? or am I screwed?

Gouge is maybe... 1/4" deep, 1" length, and 1/2" width... Epoxy of some sort that will withstand the tire conditions?

Any help asap is appreciated...trying not to spend another 240.00 or whatever it is.
Thanks!
<3 Jamie

240? You talking about a new set right? Look on ebay, they have good name brand tires cheap as shit. You can get one for probably under a 100.

Probably better to replace it than to just hope it doesn't fail at 80mph

You can't fix it.

You need to tell whoever drove your car that they owe you a new tire and need to pay to fix your wheel.

The sidewall of a tire handles all the load of the vehicle. If the sidewall is damaged to where is is unsafe it has to be replaced. A patch, plug nor anything else but a new tire will hold.
