I had a tint and exhaust ticket last month, i sold the car, will the charges get dismissed if i go to court and show them the car was sold?

fixing it and selling the car are two TOTALLY different things. I got a ticket a few years back for noise violation from a moving vehicle. I sold the speakers out of the car, went to court and showed the receipt, then was told I still had to pay.

Nobody is being immature. You're just thinking like an idiot. Just because you fix it doesn't dismiss it for one. For two, selling the car does not fix it. You're still held responsible for the violation, even if you got rid of the object in question.

I've had two tickets thrown out BECAUSE i sold the car. Told the judge, i had just gotten it, was unaware of the problems, and after further investigation, it was too much for me to undertake and get on the road properly. Told him I sold it, and he dropped both tickets.

that is what i will do. i acted dumb infront of the officer about the tint and the exhuast is only malfunction exhaust ticket not improper cuz i told him it was an exhaust leak . thanks for the answers

1st post says it all. I got an exhaust ticket and still had to pay even thou I sold the car. COMPLETELY up to the judge.

Just pray that criminal doesn't let out early and traffic is backed up. Because if you get the blonde female judge from criminal, you will def. be paying. ;)

Probably, I had a reckless ticket dismissed a few months ago and I think the fact that I sold the car helped me out, plus my driving record was pretty good and I talked/carried myself pretty well.

Depends on if the judge has been getting laid lately or not tho.
