I'm sure you'll just have to pay a fine if it is your first offense and you are a female.

I've had three reckless driving tickets. First two were amended to speeding, WITHOUT the help of a lawyer. Third one I had to plead guilty in order to stay out of jail. My lawyer got my other charge dropped, no jail time, and I ended up w/ 2 years driving probation.

Too bad the cop was a fag!!! He sounded like one too ... I was wearing a low cut dress ... he came to the passengers side of the car ... and he was all saying, "Why were you going so fast?" I said,"I am in a hurry." Cuz I am an idiot and I had never been pulled over before!!! But I hate that he picked me out of every one else who was speeding along with me

Just get a continuation. All you have to do is fax them a copy of your ticket, drivers license and a statement saying why you need a continuation. Just say that you need time to get a lawyer. If they deny you a continuation when you requested it to get a lawyer, a lawyer would have a field day with that!!!!! But they will never deny the first request for a continuation. Never. Get a LAWYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
