Default SUV shopping, advice?

Ok, I'm looking at getting rid of my wife's A4 for an SUV. I have been concidering buying a new Nissan Pathfinder but lately I've been thinking about buying something used. If I buy something for around $20-25k I can have it paid off buy the time I leave Hawaii and am looking at buying a house. This would be a good thing. My only absolute requirement is that it have 3 row seating for 7+ passengers. Of course I would like 4wd but in all reality, I'd be using it as a minivan, not an offroad toy so 4wd isn't a must. I don't want to get into anything more than about 2 or 3 years old either. Right now, I'm looking at everything from late model Explorers and Expeditions to GMC Envoys and Honda Pilots. I'm looking for some advice here. What do have.

p.s. I'm posting this question here and not in the offroad section because I HIGHLY doubt it will ever see any offroad duty. It'll be a minivan for a guy that refuses to buy a minivan. It's also going to be my wife's primary vehical, so I'm not going to get something overly huge like a diesel Excursion (even though I'd love one)

I like the power and On Star from the Envoy, but there aren't a whole lot of the longer 7 passenger ones to choose from. And the interior quality is typical GM.

I'm not a big fan of the Pilot's looks, but it's a solid platform with 8 passenger seating and a much higher quality interior. Proven Honda reliability is a good thing as well.

Lincoln Aviators are pretty dope, not many to choose from used though. Are they a 3 row seating layout?

Jeep Grand Cherokee

V8 power available, reliable, and good looking.

The new ones are absolutely gorgeous, however they're quite pricey... I can't recall if they have a third row seat or not though.
