Stupid question: Illinois State Inspection
I know VA Driven isn't the best place to find out if there is a state inspection in Illinois, but I figured somebody has lived there or knows somebody who does. Anyways do they require a state inspection? I saw some dodgy e-answer websites that said they did away with it a few years ago. I guess this is true? The Illinois website is pure rubbish and only mentions an emissions test.
Any answers would help. Just trying to figure it out before I move there. Thanks.

Re: Stupid question: Illinois State Inspection
Depends on what county in Illinois. Where I'm from (Kankakee County), there are no inspections.
I'm assuming you are going to Scott or something along those lines?

I'll be moving to the north side of Chicago, the lakeview/wriggleyville area. Looks like I found my answer via wikipedia... btw this is a handy page for anyone to reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle..._United_States
Chicago metropolitan requires bi-annual emissions test on cars 4 years or older. Thanks
