Directions on these things are limited and have 3-4 pages tops. You're gonna have to experiment with the settings and get use to it. Also some of the memory cards won't work. I bought a 32gig off brand one at bestbuy and it wouldn't work, I used the sandisk card that was in my camera and it works perfectly.
They come with long ass cords and will need to be plugged in, the battery is a joke and serves no purpose.
I have mine installed right under the rear view mirror, with this cover http://www.autoanything.com/mirrors/65A2827A0A0.aspx to hide the wires on the windshield (the cover came with the car from the factory. I bought a longer one). I ran the wires under the headliner.
Overall I spent 30 bucks for a piece of mind, the way people drive and weird events that happen while out.
Here's some pics I just snapped just to show my little setup. Peep the actual watermarks you photogs

Most of these dvr's are just re-packaged and made by the same manufacturer. I know for a fact cause I looked into and thought about selling these on here, it would just be a complete PITA and waste of my time.

Only thing I did was put my sandisk card in it, the cheap one from bestbuy didn't work.
Once its dialed it and you mess with it you're good. I don't really mess with it apart from hitting record, delete and power off

Id suggest taking it out in the summer, unless you use a window shade, or keep car covered and garaged. The plastic is thin and prob would melt the board in it, staying exposed 24+ hours, 7 days a week in the summer
