So i traded my civic hatch and the title over to CREATOR who uses this site for his integra. The agrement was trade for the car plus $400 on my half. He told me once i paid the money (that i did 3 1/2 weeks ago) i will get the title. Well now i've been calling for days, his wife answered twice but gave me bull shit reasons why he cant talk. I have the emails saved, i have the contract, also his name and number and where his business is located, what can i do to get this title from him?

Umm you could have required the title WHEN YOU SHELLED OUT THE CASH. Why would you give him cash and not get the title then??

i've dealed with this guy a couple of times, no problems, i had the money and he was in the area, i was supposed to meet up with him and get it but its always excusses of him not able to do it, and now he wont answer the phone

Is there a way i can just salvage a title for it, theres no lien on the car

yes i have a contract that states the trade and the 400 witch was paid

Ok well if all the details are in that bill of sale then he is required to give you the title. You can take him to court. Don't go request a title from the DMV because that will take forever. Hassle the dude everyday and leave as many messages as you can and send emails. Do everything you can to contact him and if he still doesn't give it up then take him to court.

yea im going to keep calling and go up to his work for another week and if nothing then i'll take him to court, thanks

Did he sign the bill of sale saying you paid him or does it just say 400 is due for the title. If he didnt sign that he received the cash it wont do any good.

ah im not sure, it says the date of when i paid, i have to see if he signed it, its on one of his business paperwork but i have to check it out when i get home
