Default sad/happy day for the camaro

well i decided to cruise around some today since the weather was nice, car drove perfect. until it was time to go to work

im taking a right outa my street and i hear a loud snap/clunk in the rear of the car and the whole thing shuttered but kept driving so i pulled over and checked my lugs/axels etc and nothing.

does it again and i know exactly whats wrong...my 10 bolt rearend is taking a shit on me.

our mechanic friend came over and we are for sure its a problem within the rearend..could be somethin simple like with teh posi or it might be time to swap out for a new moser 12 bolt

discuss

It died just driving normal? 10 bolts suck, go 9 inch.

i was noticing some very minor clunking a few weeks prior to today but yea, it basically just blew under normal driving conditions.

i was taking a right hand turn at ~15mph with the car in 2nd and i accelerated midway through the turn..not excessively but thats when i heard/felt it

it wont be immediately because im gonna do some research for it but it sounds like its pretty much 12 bolt or 9''

nice link, sometime this weekend we're gonna pull off the cover and see whats up in there.

my guess is its either the whole rearend quickly about to blow or something with the posi.

id almost rather just replace it all with a 9'' and some 3.73s and forget about it

i think 4.10s might be too much for a DD and considering it might be goin up to college with me soon

4.10's are fine for a daily driver. Speaking from experience.
