I thinking about buying an RX-8 but the rotary motor scares the crap out of me. I think it is the best looking car on the road but I have heard bad things about them. Just looking for some other opinions about it. Your help would be great. Thanks

I know one problem right off the top: They like to misfire. With that said, that should be enough to deter you from buying one.

As long as you check the oil every time you stop and get gas you should be fine...

they are fairly slow for what they are though...hope you are not looking for a sportscar, just a sporty looking car

Just make sure to check the piston rings every once in a while and you'll be fine

As stated, ALWAYS check the oil. My ex's would burn a quart a week.
