Rebuild time..Cant wait any longer
Well ive been putting of this rebuild because its my daily driver. Well I just found out I have to drive Home from CA to NH starting oct3rd-ish. So I have to get this done an running an tuned by then. Blah. All I owe to the machine shop is $100. Ive been giving them money for a few months now. whats getting is the following
Piston(wiseco 8.5.1)
Eagle H beam rods
Cleavite bearing
new HG
New Water Pump
Stock Iron replacement sleeves
ARP Head studs
Drill an tap the VC for catch can.
surface my Turbo Manifold (its not flush)
then all the ness. machine work (hone, deck, surface ect.)
Thats whats getting done pretty much. I also em putting energy motor mount inserts along with braided ss lines for the turbo. Hondata intake manifold gasket an ported manifold an gutted iabs. Also I have a lighten, 15lbs stock FW an ACT 6 puck unsprung clutch.
I still need a few more things if someone has them let me know.
-Throw out bearing
- Pilot bearing.
After this is done, im trailering it to possibly LA or Vegas to get tunned. Im not sure which shops yet. I live in ridgecrest ca. Im going to have them tune it for performance on one chip an the other for gas millage since i have to make a 3k drive.
anyone recommend any shops in them areas?
Thats what going on this coming week. I have one question. I heard people using sycromesh. Thats the GM kind..right?

Here are the new rotors:
heres a box of new shit for the most part:
an here is the brake/clutch fluid im putting in. Is this shit good? I was told it was at the store:

Re: Rebuild time..Cant wait any longer
why do people choose to go such low compression 8.5:1? come on. thats wayyy too low. as much as i enjoy all motor, i would love to build a 9.7-10:1 motor and boost it daily making more than all these 8:1 people.

Thats my way of thinking. My Hyundai came factory with 7.5:1... that has changed slightly (10:1).
