have you tried to load it yet? i towed my 97 mustang with a dolly and 245 tires on 17's, you might be ok on width but the straps may not fit around the wheels.

no i haven't, it's a mustang, with 20" wheels, and 245s I think it is the straps...Do you think I can Get some straps from lowes and strap it myself to the dolly?

it may be tough to secure it with like a ratchet strap, strapping the wheels with those net like straps is how they are designed to work. honestly a full car trailer doesn't cost much more to rent that a dolly.

a dolley is a compermise to begin with. and if your towing a mustang then itl be rear wheel drive and your back wheels rolling on the ground aint the best for your trans in the first place!!! so for starters GET THE TRAILER, then since most rental trailers have the same wheel straps the dolleys do pick up a pair of HEAVY ratchet straps and just strap it yourself to the trailer. Done!

You can generally get some uber cheap wheels at junkyards. like 10-20 bucks each, with tires, all you gotta realize is match the bolt pattern not the car.

But this is by far the smartest option.
