Default Purchasing a new vehicle. Need help on choices.

Hey Driven, I plan on buying a new vehicle(09) and have a $20,000 budget to play with give or take a few thousand. Just wanted to know if anyone out there knew of any cars I should consider. I've already test drove/considered a Honda Fit & a Civic Si so lets keep those out. Only looking to get something that's decent on gas 28 mpg+ and that's a stick is what it must have. Let me know whats out there!

I would, but don't plan on staying in the area long enough to find a home. And I'm a 20 year old college student.

Just started to consider 2010 Scion Xb's. Under 20k and could give me time to save/reconsider.

Well, I just personally bought an 09 SI new from the dealership.

Couldn't be happier. Very nice car, gas mileage is ~25-30mpg, interior is super comfortable, and they are pretty good looking.

I have the sedan, but that's what I'm known for.
