powder coating questions...

Default powder coating questions...

i need help with one thing...can you powdercoat aftermarket rims with a machine lip...i want to keep the machine lip but get the rim a different color. can anyone help me with this? and if so, anyone know a good place to get it done?

yes u can, alll things are possible remember this..during your journey of powder coating your rims just remember never take no as a answer, as all places are capable of doing this one way or another

I know that Sears sells a powder coating gun and several different colors if you want to try powdercoating something yourself...

nah. id rather get it professionally done or it done by someone who knows what they are doing you know? if anyone knows a shop in vb/chesapeake let me know!!

Vanwynn coatings

They do very nice work! Personally have had them powdercoat all sorts of things for me. They like a challenge also!

Hey, I used to powdercoat. I was no professional. But I know it has to be bare metal to get the powdercoat to stick well. It uses static electricity, so the powder wont flow out on a painted wheel. THey need like...badass sand blasters to strip it. Wheels can be painted just like cars. Thats what a lot of people do.
